2010One of the questions I get asked the most is:
"How much freezer space do I need for a 1/4 of beef?"
On my last delivery I took a picture of the actual four boxes that make up a Quarter (1/4 of a beef) of a hanging weight angus beef of 719 pounds.
This takes up about two shelves of an upright freezer.
Here is the package break down of what was included in this delivery. A typical T-bone package contains two nice size steaks(approx 3/4" thick). Of course, this package count varies depending on the size and weight of the animal:

Please inquire about current prices. The butcher divides up the beef equally among the 4 quarters as best he can.

so is that 4 t-bones total? Or is it 4 packs of two t-bones for a total of 8?

Yes, that is 8 t-bones steaks. The beef is divided equally amongst the buyers who usually don't know each other. So, no, you cannot pass of liver to get more ground.
